Online Forums
May 2010
Friends,
Many have written and asked if I have heard from
others in your class. Not having the resources to track this kind of
information, I set up the St. Pascal Baylon School Classmates Message Board,
which allowed folks to communicate directly and share info. Unfortunately,
for reasons unknown, this forum stopped working a few years ago and I
ain't bin able to git 'er goin agin (like so many other things in my
"autumn years"). Would you like to help? Read on...
| One workaround might be to have a blog that
allows users to post comments.
I would be happy to set this up, but would need someone to act
as a moderator. This volunteer moderator would check the
blog from time to time (from the comfort of their computer) to
make sure none of our classmates are misbehaving. Imagine: You
would get to be Sister Brunhilda, tapping a ruler and making sure that everyone is sitting up straight, with
hands clasped in front of them on their desks! Sounds great,
doesn't it?
Perhaps more to the point, the moderator would also delete any
spam posts that might sneak in. Neither of these tasks would be
complicated or require skill - and I would act as tech backup.
Email
me here if you want more info - or if you are ready to
jump into that Sister Brunhilda outfit right now. |
The Queens Board is for displaced, misplaced,
and nostalgic ex-Queensites.
If, in your travels, you
discover any other forums that might be of interest to folks hereabouts, please
drop me a note.
Good luck - and happy hunting,
