Oppose the Emergency Health Powers Act in New York State

Dear Friends and Fellow New Yorkers, 

You may have heard that NY State is moving to enact the Emergency Health Powers Act (S5841 and A9508) as a response to the "terrorist threat." The bill, in an "emergency," would permit forced vaccinations, abolish patient privacy, criminalize the refusal of medical treatment, seize and destroy private property, control communications, food, fuel, drugs and other items while providing a waiver of accountability to the perpetrators of these acts. If you find this disturbing, **act now** by signing our online petition and notifying your NY friends.

Also - At the national level, a petition put forward by the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons at http://www.aapsonline.org/alerts/petition.php voices opposition to the Model State Emergency Health Powers Act (the model upon which the state's are basing their individual bills) and calls on President Bush to desist immediately from all efforts, plans and actions to promote and pass this bill.
