2. Continuous vigil at WBAI after New Year
Valerie Van Isler has been told by Pacifica management that December
31st is her last day as general manager. She vows to refuse to accept the
dismissal. Stand by WBAI, and stand against attacks on community radio by
forming a continuous listener presence in the radio station.
Listeners will form a security force from January 1st on inside the
studio of WBAI, 120 Wall Street, 10th floor, New York. This will be
discussed at the community meeting.
3. Saturday, December 23rd, there will be an on-air forum starting at 8
a.m. and going until 2:00. Please tune to hear a comprehensive report on
the current crisis and its roots. Tell a friend to tune into 99.5 FM. WBAI
can also be streamed at www.wbai.org.
Community radio is your radio. Join us in the fight to maintain free
speech and the founding principles of progressive, community-supported
Pacifica radio.
