Note: The following WBAI Listener Penny Vote proposal is a sketch put out here for feedback and revision. During the WBAI fundraiser, donors can use a donation amount code to VOICE SUPPORT for various positions. How? Whatever dollar amount one calls in to pledge, whether small amounts or big bucks for pricey premiums, it should be UNROUNDED OFF - with penny amounts added on. The PENNY AMOUNTS would indicate your vote, as in the following examples: $20.04 = Restore selection of Pacifica National Board members to Local Advisory Boards. The two options above have been listed separately because they seem
the most prominent issues; however, other options are - The donor would instruct the phone volunteer to request "Read Exact Donation On Air" by adding REDOA in the upper right corner of the pledge card. Hopefully, producers would cooperate with donor requests and read the exact amounts. The individual amounts would also become, by normal accounting procedures, a written record of this listener feedback effort. Donors can vote more than once for various options they favor by phoning in numerous $10 + cent amounts. (Suggestion: $11 or higher, rather than $10 - would cover the credit card company's transaction charge.) Back to Fund Raiser Proposed
