If truth be told, this is probably an idea hatched by Bernard White, Mimi Rosenberg, Juan Gonzalez, Valerie Van Issler, Rafael Renteria, Paul De Rienzo, and Utrice Leid to create an entire phony crisis, take an entire year being supported by gathered and foundational monies, galvanize support, publicize the station and return to it in 2002 and have a $3,000,000 to $5,000,000 fundraiser. It's the only logical explanation. And everyone must have all kinds of wild pictures of everyone else so that everyone stays in the game no matter what. Hence the short term firing of Clayton.

I also think that the only principal player not in on the game is Amy Goodman. She is moving through this earnestly not realizing that when she commiserates with Mimi and Juan that they are immediately going to a secret location in Brooklyn to meet with Utrice and Paul and shaking their heads:
